COLOURS

At Pintado, we offer you the ultimate flexibility when it comes to choosing finishes and colours. Our expert finishers can prepare and paint a piece of furniture in any shade, in a variety of finishes.

We can paint to any colour specified by you, from leading brands such as Farrow & Ball, Dulux, Jane Churchill, Crown Heritage, Zoffany, Laura Ashley. We also use quality paint from companies such as Craig & Rose, Little Greene Paint Co, Georgina Barrow.

On consultation with you, if you wish, we will produce a hand painted sample card, free of charge. From this you can peruse colour combinations and use it as a basis for deciding your colour preference.

FINISHES
Antiqued, Distressed, Dragged, Combed, Solid Matt, Decorative

We are currently most often asked to produce a solid neutral colour in a matt finish, either slightly distressed and/or antiqued. This finish is undoubtedly the look of the moment.

For a contemporary look, a chalky matt finish works well with knobs painted in a contrasting colour. The paint is combined with a flat acrylic varnish for the final coat, to retain the character of the finish and to provide some protection.

An Indonesian-style highly lacquered finish in bright, bold colours also creates a stunning and vibrant effect for an accent piece of furniture.

Chalky or matt pastel colours with a dragged or combed effect finish are often requested for bedroom furniture.

We are also increasingly asked to produced beautiful decorative effects on pieces such as blanket boxes or chests, usually in muted pastels, often personalised as christening, birthday or Christmas gifts.

KNOB OPTIONS
Knobs can be provided in the following finishes:

Stained, waxed, varnished, handpainted in contrasting or complimentary colours. Glass and ceramic knobs are also available at an additional cost. Please ask us for a quote specific to your piece of furniture.

We are also able to provide our furniture in its natural state, in natural or reproduction waxes or stained finishes.
